Presbyterian?

The Masons were not a Presbyterian organization.

However, I'm actually more concerned with the details you've posted about the Shaw family and am wondering if you are gathering up details on all the one family.

"Thomas was born c1801 and Elizabeth c1805 in Belfast, they had a son william shaw and his details are as follows: William Shaw born in May 1828 in donagha county Monaghan.he married Jean edgar in scotland"

If the Shaws were from Belfast them it's a bit unusual to find them having a son in Monaghan. If that is the case them perhaps it's a Masonic Lodge in Monaghan where Thomas Shaw was a member.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

IF PRESBYTERIAN.....

There was a Baptism at Ballyalbany Pres. Church, Monaghan Town on 17th April 1806 Thomas 4th son of William Shaw + Rebecca Elizabeth Gibson of Skinnagin, Donagh.  NOTE: Baptism, not Birth!

The Gibsons are still around, not sure of Shaws!!

This may or may not be yours!!

From the information I have all the children were born in monoghan but thomas was definately from Belfast area which is really frustrating, maybe his wife Elizabeth was from Monaghan, but because so man records differ iam unsure of this

This may be the correct thomas because one of his daughters has the same middle name as his mothers maiden name Gibson, nieces name is also Ellen Gibson shaw so it might be right

Is this another baptism for Thomas Shaw in Monaghan?
