Dowlings Fairymount Roscommon
« on: Friday 10 July 15 22:38 BST (UK) »
Hi

My G gradnfather was born in Fairymount Roscommon around 1864. His Father was Patrick and a farmer. He left Ireland for Cheshire and worked as a labourer.

I have travelled 23 years ago to Roscommon looking for his baptism or birth in the church but without success.

Can anyone assist me? I have birth certificates and grave records and photos acquired during my trip but I am not sure which strand my Edward Dowling belongs to. He was a RC.

Many thanks

Maria

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.

There has been one or two advances in 23 years... ;-)
