Bessie Bannerman Murdoch
« on: Saturday 11 July 15 18:22 BST (UK) »
Hello, another of my Scottish Women's Hospital nurses requiring some assistance .. Am a wee bit down the road with her in that i know she was born in 1881 at inverlochy farm Elgin. Father were John and Mary. She had a long ww1 service France, Serbia and more. What i don't know is what happened to her after 1919, can anyone find her death etc. She did go to America before the war and its possible she returned.

many thanks

Alan

According to LIBINDX Bessie B Murdoch was awarded a Serbian Medal (Expeditionary Force). There was a report in the Banffshire Advertiser on 4 September 1919, in which she was apparently described as a nun.

27 Claremont Place, Aberdeen was mentioned in the Banffshire Advertiser article as the address of her mother.
