John "Jack" Stott of Rochdale
« on: Sunday 12 July 15 00:13 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find connections to John "Jack" Stott who was born in Rochdale in the 1890's. He was known mainly as Jack Stott. He had 2 daughters Joan & Vera. Joan (now passed away) moved to Birmingham in the 1960's and Vera (also passed away) moved to Liverpool. Jack was married 3 times and lived in a pensioners bungalow in Rochdale until the late 1980's when he moved to Birmingham to be cared for by his daughter Joan. He died around 1989.

Any information on Jack or his family in Rochdale would be gratefully appreciated. Jack was my Grandfather "inlaw" and I am trying to put a picture of his life together for my daughter and grandchildren.

Hi
I know your message was posted some time ago but I'm a friend of Joan's son and have been doing some research into her family tree for him. His grandmother, Sarah Butterworth, has been quite easy to research but I'm stuck on the Stott side. There are a few John Stotts of the right age on the census but I can't work out which one he is. Joan's son speaks very fondly of his grandad but doesn't know much about that generation of his family. I didn't know he'd been married three times. Any information you have on any family members would help me to make a start and I'd be happy to pass on anything I find out.
Best wishes
Julie
