James COLREAVY Murder Charge
« on: Sunday 12 July 15 07:54 BST (UK) »
HI Everyone
Doing a bit more research on the above James COLREAVY.  Now we have been going through his convict records here and it seems that he was convicted of Murder and served 3 months in Ireland.  Sounds odd I know but someone suggested that it may have been discovered that he didn't actually commit the crime.  Would there be anything in the papers either in Longford or Dublin or any reference to him being incarcerated for this crime.  Tried in Longford 22 July 1842

He was finally sent here (Tasmania)  for stealing 3 Heifers.  Any help much appreciated.  Kind regards Dianna

HI Yes that's him alright, trying find out more about this murder, I'm sure that's what it say's on his record for previous convictions.  Seems strange 3 months for murder and being transported for stealing cows.  How funny, thanks for your reply.  Regards Dianna
