Census look up please - Hannah BREARLEY.
« on: Sunday 12 July 15 17:34 BST (UK) »
Hi,

My interest is in a Hannah BREARLEY bap 01 March 1829 Burton on Trent, Staffordshire.

Parents Henry and Frances Brearley.

I have a little confusion because of Brearly's just up the road in Ticknall, Derbys.

I was hoping to locate Hannah in any of the 1841 to 1851 censuses before her marriage to Richard SHREEVE, St Peter's, Derby 20 Feb 1854.

I can see her in the 1881 census but, confusingly, her birthplace is given as 'Derbyshire' as opposed to Staffs.

Many thanks,

Mark.

Hi Mark,

Looking at baptism for 'Brearley's' in Burton upon Trent, beside Hannah there is a baptism of a Catherine Brearley 13 Nov 1831, Burton-upon-Trent, Stafford, parents Henry and Frances. Therefore a possible sister to Hannah, with this information in mind this could be the Brearley's on the 1841 -

Henry Briarly  ???   35
William Briarly   15
Hannah Briarly   12
Catherine Briarly    9

Do you have Hannah's marriage cert/ If so what is her father's occupation?

Winshill wobbles between Burton, Staffs and Derbyshire, I think.

JJen,

Is that a Ticknall one you have found in 1841?

Thanks to one and all.

So, 1840 Frances passes away.

1841 at home aged 12.

1851 servant with father remarried.

I will try to locate the marriage of Henry/Frances next.

Mark.
