Hi Ladyhawk

That is great information, that all seems to fit together. So Edward as born c1817 in Wolverhampton, that explains why I could not trace William in Walsall.

Amazing that you could get back so quickly. So now I need tio dind the wedding od William & Elizabeth and then William's baptism.

You are a real star !! :D

There are these pedigree trees on family searchsay Sarah Lawley’s mmn Cooper
you would need to verify if this information is correct with a b/c if you think this is the correct Lawley family

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/SR3R-1LT
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/2:2:SR3R-1G8
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/2:2:SR3T-938

This is the only marriage I could find on FreeBMD with an Edward LAWLEY & Sarah Copper on same page Dec 1838 Wellington vol 18 page 277

The district Wellington is an alternative name for Wellington Sal and it is in the county of Shropshire
