Thank you for this, It's strange how there is no more on William and Eda/Edith after 1901. I can't find a death for either of them, will or anything. I did wonder if they went off like sister Selina to Australia as Elias and Selina's son Ellis in was born Aust. 1911, so they could have gone after 1901.

As for Wiiliam and Ann.
I found Smallshaw house in Wrightington 1901 and it appears the house is in occupation but unoccupied so maybe William and Ann Barton were out of the country at that time which would explain them missing off the census.

I can also see that Elizabeth Barton married John Edward Mason at All Saints in 1897 but cannot also find these two on the 1901 census. Looks like they had two children Ann Ellen born 1899 and John William born 1900. Can anyone see them in 1901? Thanks

John & Elizabeth were managing the White Swan in 1901 which perhaps indicates that William & Ann were not in the country as John later reverts to being an iron turner
I think you mentioned this in your first post just naming them as William's daughter & s in l

Yes thanks this is Ann, I have her death and gravestone in Ince Cemetery. I have also been going down her children's line. There is Wm.Barton who I can't find in 1901 married to Mary Woodward in 1889.Children, are Ethel Jane 1891.Ellen 1892.Constance May and Evelyn Maud both born 1896. Olive born 1898 and died 5 months old. They lived in Warrington Road Ince in 1898.

Mary & family are living next door to the White Swan at 138 Warrington Road in 1901. Ellen is known as Nellie (a common form of Ellen), Constance May as May and Evelyn Maud as Eva. Ages all correct especially as May & Eva shown as the same age

Mary married Thomas Wood later that year
