(*Completed with thanks*)Hamilton, Bo'ness
« on: Thursday 16 July 15 19:46 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

This is my first time away from the Ireland board & hope I got the right area.

Thomas Colville Hamilton & wife Ann Jane Lennox Hamilton are buried in Section D Lair 204 in Bo'ness Cemetery. If anyone visits the area I would appreciate a photograph of the headstone.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Hi Roger,

I just noticed this post whilst doing some research on Thomas Colville Hamilton.

I'm actively trying to get you a photo of the headstone in Bo'ness Cemetery if it's there.

Are you related? Do you have a photo of the man you could share?

All the best,

Gow67

Hello Gow67,

I am related to Thomas Colville Hamilton. His mother, Sarah Colville, was the youngest sibling of my great-grandmother Elizabeth Colville.

Are you related?

Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of that branch of the family (wish I did).

Hello again Roger. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. My interest in Thomas Hamilton relates to the following article http://www.linlithgowgazette.co.uk/news/appeal-to-help-trace-photo-of-old-friend-1-4428677. If the information you have is correct then I think this is the same man that is buried in Bo'ness Cemetery.

Can I just double check dates of birth/death, etc. that you have? Also where did you find the lair details?

Anyway we found an article relating to Thomas Colville Hamilton on the front page of the same paper, the Linlithgowshire Journal & Gazette, dated 10th August, 1962 that contains an obituary and a photo. Do you have access to British Newspaper Archive? I'll PM you anyway.

Hope this is of interest to you. I'm still working on photo of headstone - get back to you on that.

All the best,

G67

Hi,

Thanks for the PM.

Thomas born 14 June 1902.

I e-mailed the cemetery to get the grave location.

Sadly, no access to newspapers, can't afford the subscription.

Take care.
