Here is the obituary for the eldest son of Michael and his wife Margaret:

Perhaps  google to see if you can locate one of the descendants.

Did you notice that from the link cosmac sent you (for the area history book in which Michael features) that you can go to the next page and see the names of all his children. There's also a section on the chap from the obit.

Anyway-from the obituary-Debby is a daughter-in-law (wife of Delmie "Bill").
Other brothers and sisters are listed starting with Winnie (Reg).

Good luck!

You may be able to trace some of the living rellies mentioned in the obits through this link to the telephone white pages. I would start with just last names and location just Saskatchewan. You could add more if this doesn't give you any info. Contact info is provided.

Hi,

The 1911 Canadian census Saltcoats, Saskatchewan
Richards, Michael J. age 28, b. Wales, head, single, imm. yr. 1902, farmer
Richards, William E. age 35, b. Wales, brother, single, imm. yr. 1911 farmer
http://automatedgenealogy.com/census11/SplitView.jsp?id=76169

Was there another brother or perhaps cousin Edward P.? He is listed just below Michael
and William.

Cheers,
DB
Edward P (Parry) is a brother, born in Patagonia in 1882; there is a mistake in this census, cause Michael John was 30 years old at that time (he was born in 1880, less than a year before WE Richards traveled to the Welsh Settlement in Patagonia.
Edward P went to Canada, and returned to Argentina after his father asked him to do so. He married Annie Rees and had ten children. Their fourth child (the first boy), was Eurig Llewellyn, my grandpa.

Thanks for your reply.
I have a note that Edward Parry Richards, (1882-1924), (a brother of the above), was born in Patagonia and I may have placed W.E. Richards as going to Canada in error. Edward was in Patagonia when he died leading me to believe that he didn't go to Canada with the others. I have a wife for him, Annie Rees ... they had 9 children.
Hi Viking!, Edward Parry was born in the Welsh Settlement in Patagonia, but went to Canada with his brothers. He married to Annie Rees in Canada, and returned to Patagonia after his father asked him to do so. They had ten children: Ana Mary, Margaret, Rebecca (Rebby), Eurig LLewellyn (my grandfather), Emig, Agnes, Florence, Adelina, Morgan and Lorenz
