Is there anyone researching the King family from Strathaven.  J. D. King left Strathaven in 1807 I presume to join the army/navy?  He scratched a farewell poem (dedicated to Ellen) on a window pane in a house in Strathaven. No other details known.  Just curious to find out who he was and why he would enlist.
