Hurst Family of Benamore (outside of Roscrea)
« on: Tuesday 21 July 15 00:33 BST (UK) »
I am interested to see if anyone might have Hurst roots in their family tree.  The Hurst family located to Benamore around 1850.

Thanks

Hi,
I checked the Griffiths Valuation 1837 to 1864 no Hurst listed in Tipperary.
nearest was in SEIRKIERAN which is in County Offaly, you would find it under Kings County.
This is near to Roscrea, as is Benamore.

I looked into the Tithe books (this goes up to 1837) and there are two Hurst people a William and a Nathanial listed. Aghnameadle is the place stated which is south west of Roscrea.
What names are you looking for please?
Maggsie

I am looking for Thomas or William Hurst. I believe the family may have originated from around Fancroft Mill. My line immigrated to New Jersey but left some family behind in Roscrea area.
