All Saints Staunton Nr Coleford
« on: Thursday 23 July 15 21:34 BST (UK) »
I am sure that, some months ago, I found a website listing all people buried in the graveyard of All Saints Church, Staunton Nr Coleford. Can I find it now.....Not at all.

Can anyone help me here as it is driving me insane.

Thanks

Assume you mean

Forest of Dean Family History

http://www.forest-of-dean.net/

Transcribed are the Records of Staunton (1,473 burials) and Staunton near Newent (2,066 burials)

Also the Gloucestershire Family History CD burials after 1813 to 1883  (which I have, who are you interested in? ) which includes Staunton, Nr Coleford

Hi

Ref: FoD site you do have to register but it is free. I had to search to find out where you register, so I have given you a link to the page.

Thanks for the responses. I am trying to find all of the Barnetts buried in Staunton Nr Coleford so that I can cross relate them to my family tree. Our family is going down later in the year and we want to be as prepared as possible. We think that we know where many of them lived from census forms. It would be good to know how many we can look for in the churchyard.

Thanks again. Alan

Quickly looking at my CD, Staunton, Coleford - there are approx 38 either spelt BARNET/BARNET/BARNATT - many more on the Forest of Dean website - which gives much more detail e.g.

Staunton

Edward BARNETT - 4 April 1829 - age 23 years, residence Staunton
Event: Burial
Cause of death: Hanging

Notes: Notes in brackets in Name Column - Hanged at Monmouth for the murder of Esther STEPHENS (think this has been discussed on the Forest of Dean by yourself)

I do not seem to be able to find this list on the FOD site. Where is it.

Yes, I did post a question about Edward. We are fairly confident that he was not a close relative, phew, but there must be some link to the family somewhere.

Thanks. Alan
