Hi wondering if anyone could look up a marriage for me in Arnold parish to see what information is there for Thomas Higgins to Anne Comely 1779

And also a birth record for a William Higgins born 1780 to Thomas & Ann Higgins

Hi Vowgirl,

Anne Comely is wrong the Thomas Higgins marriage is to Sarah Sadler on 1 Nov 1779 St Mary's Chruch Arnold.
Christening of their son William was on 23 May 1780 at St Peter & St Paul's Church Oxton son of Thomas & Sarah.

Where did you get Anne Comely from I cannot find a marriage for that name.

Sorry NG yes had Thomas and Ann on my mind they are from Elston Parish 1745 thought they might be his parents'
In the records for Thomas and Sarah at St Marys ARnold would it have said they were of that parish?

The Thomas Higgins marriage to Ann Comely was in 1745 (as posted in an earlier topic)

Yes thankyou had that from before and was now looking for Thomas marriage to Sarah Sadler Oxton which N G has looked up for me

Hi Vowgirl,

Had a look at the marriage of Thomas Higgins & Sarah Sadler at St Mary's Chruch Arnold on 1 Nov 1779 it says both of Arnold the marriage was by Banns both put an X as mark, and witnesses were James Scott and Thomas Allen he's on lots of marriages of most likely the church warden.
