Hello Mick welcome, you should start your own topic on this really.

The only mention I could find was 1871 census 84-85 Margaret Street Rg10/149/17
all Saints CE St. Marylebone  468 pupils by 1903.

I take it you have the family with the Mobbs family in 1871 census ?

1881 Josephine is 10 and listed under 'in the orphanage',  at no.74 it was the All Saints Incurable Home and 79-83 All Saints Home. It looks like it was run by the sisters of Mercy as they are all shown as nurses.

Josephine louverie and Mary louverie are the daughters of francois and emily maria louverie formerly mobbs,

So, if that is the case, it rules them out as the Lycett/Wilson girls.

Hi Mick,

Do you need help with the French side? The name Louverie is not very common - seems they were from Balizac in Gironde.

From Monasticism, ancient and modern (sorry for OCR errors)
Quote
London. — Sisterhood of All Saints, 'jZ to 83 Margaret Street,
W. Founded in 1851 for the care of aged and infirm persons, of the poor, and to train up orphans to useful employments. The following Works of Mercy are carried on by the Sisters : (i) 74 Margaret Street, W. : Orphanage for thirty-six girls, age six — fourteen. (2) ']'] Margaret Street, W. : Training school for girls, age fourteen upwards.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Society_of_All_Saints_Sisters_of_the_Poor

It is likely the girls were trained for domestic service, but also possible one or both joined the order? That might explain why there's little sign of them after 1881. Otherwise it might be that they took the name of a family who fostered them.

Hi Mick

So we don't duplicate what you already know, do you have birth and marriage details?

This topic might be better off on the Europe board.
