Pre 1841 Population Lists which may be of use………….
•   Censuses 1801 – 1831, (mostly found in the kirk session records with a few in the Old Parish Registers).
•   Heads of Families, lists of Heads of Families in the parish, included if known is a fairly complete list of families
•   Examination Lists, adults and older children in the parish examined on their knowledge of the scriptures
•   Visitation Lists, as Examination Lists
•   Historic tax rolls – poll tax; window; clock and watch; commutation; hair powder;  inhabited house shop; male/female servant; cart; carriage; dog; horse -  (National Records of Scotland in E326 and E327

Police Returns, (Glasgow 1841)
Scottish Censuses, population listings, communion rolls, poor lists, tax lists.
