Yes, the hotels have too many floors, but those in Clifton Cres etc are correct, however, I agree with dg and S_L that we can't fit the arrangement in Cazza's pic to Folkestone ... particularly that knot of building to left of pic.

Sorry, S_L - although I can see similarities (especially with the house with the ambulance outside), I  have to agree that the current road layout isn't a match.

I was disagreeing with the leas but i do think clifton road is correct, suspect photo was taken before other side of road was developed.

I think you may be right S_L.  The 4 houses we see centrally are those on the west side of Clifton Rd ... and they hadn't built those we now see on Google maps on the east side.

If only there was more to see on the right-hand side I'm sure that low wall is the front of the Leas Pavilion Theatre, Folkestone.

Excuse my muppetry tonight - feeling particularly confuddled tonight     I had assumed that the houses were built earlier that they appear to have been (i.e. they were Regency) so couldn't work out how a later photo couldn't have houses, that must have been built, on.  (if that makes any sense at all!!!)
