Elizabeth Eversley Rees Robinson married name Wood

Elizabeth Eversley Rees Robinson was born 27 April 1914, Ramsgate, Kent, daughter of Arnold Percy Robinson and his wife Eversley Channing-Pearce. Her occupation during WW2 was in the War Office and SOE. She was awarded the OBE 4 January 1944. She died 11 February 1992, Bentley, Ipswich, Suffolk (will) under the name of Elizabeth Eversley Rees Wood. At the end of WW2 or after the war she must have married but despite diligent searching I cannot find a husband. Would there be any references to her in Ipswich regarding her death?

Could she have married twice, in which case the second marriage to Wood wouldn't have been under the name Robinson?

Have you got the will - does that give any clues ie children?

Sometimes when widows remarry they get both names in the Marriage Index. I do not know whether that is official or just hit and miss. She left just under 400 thousand pounds. I may have to bite the bullet and order the will as you suggest.

I would think that would be your best bet as it might tell you her husband's name.
