What is this Trade/Occupation Welsh 1841 census

There is an occupation listed twice on this snippet which seems to be 2 letters, a space then 1 letter.  Does anyone know what it is?
Angela, Perth, West Australia.

Harrison: Garston (L'pool), Dublin, Athlone, (Irl), Madras/Chennai and Burma (British India/India) and Sth Africa, and Australia.
Hart: Garston and Woolton (UK), Roscommon (Irl).
McC(h)rystal: Garston, Wigan, Desertmartin (Nrthn Irl), Canada, USA, Australia
Miller: Garston and ?Ireland/?Wales
Jones: Garston and ?Ireland/?Wales
Boyle: (Derry, Irl)
Gill: Garston L'pool UK, and Ireland.
Cannon: Woolton and Roscommon
Callaghan: Unknown.

I think it may be Sh M , perhaps short for shoe maker ? It  would be helpful to compare other letters on the page - can you post the census reference ?

On some of the lines it looks like "Ditto"   or "Do"  which could be short for Ditto anyway.

Which town was it in?  that also  may give a clue.

If it's a mining area, could it be an abbreviation for a shale miner.

I seem to recall them using explosives to loosen the seems of coal.

But if it was an Iron and Steel area such Port Talbot, it could be "Sheet"

Sh meant shopman on the 1841 census.

Sh M might be an individual enumerator's version.

I would check the occupation of the person/s in 1851 which may give you a clue. :)
