Hugh Hughes and Mary (both Hughes?)m. prior to 1770, Nannerch
« on: Tuesday 28 July 15 19:24 BST (UK) »
I am searching for info on the parents of Sam Hughes, Hugh and Mary. Sam's marriage at Nannerch, 9 June 1788, to Jane Jones gives the additional information that they are his parents and surnames of both are HUGHES.

Hi again, when I reach the c 1770's I seriously start wondering if the parents were both born in even the same county as their offspring,  their is a Hugh b 1769 Nannerch parents Harry/Elizabeth and if Mary was older 2 1766 Robert & Gwen 1767 Richd & Mary
All baptised Nannerch

Nannerch is currently in Flintshire, Yes.

But I wonder whether  Nannerch may have been in Denbighshire  at the date you are looking at.

The Bishop of St Asaph had a summer house on the outskirts  of Nannerch, I believe.

If you live not far away, it may be worth a trip to Nannerch parish church cemetery.  Look for headstones.
