My granddad's war records say he lived on Mowbray street aswell, thanks for the maps very helpful - it is no wonder he knew some of the city pubs.  ;D

Yes I believe my G.Grandfather was very keen on visiting public houses too! Possibly also why he was deemed an unsuitable character during training as a soldier during WWI...
