Identifying a subdistrict on 1911 census
« on: Thursday 30 July 15 00:34 BST (UK) »
I am researching the Horsnell family of British Columbia.  In 1911, they were in the Yale and Cariboo subdistrict 1-54.  Is it possible to identify exactly where they were?  It is likely in the Okanagan and might be Vernon, although they were also associated with Errington on Vancouver Island.
Thanks.

I think I've answered my own question.  It appears to be Wood Lake, halfway between Vernon and Kelowna.  I guess I was misled by the Familysearch site, which states that the family were in the Yale Cariboo District, not the Okanagan.  This makes far more sense.
