James Bolton Orton/Musgrave
« on: Thursday 30 July 15 15:28 BST (UK) »
I wonder if anyone can help me with this query
According to census returns James Bolton was born 1779/81 in Musgrave. However a Settlement Certificate says his lawful place of settlement was Orton [he lived with his wife and family in Warton, Lancs ]
Has anyone access to either of these villages parish records so as to confirm which entry is correct?

Thanks

From previous searching Orton PR's are not available online. The parish you seem to be after is Great Musgrave(village of Little Musgrave also) but from Hugh Wallis batches no matching baptisms.
