Looking for a property called Dolwen in Corris. Someone suggested that it was a name given to one of The houses by the the chapel. Can anyone confirm this

Go to the  current county web site.  Not sure whether it is Gwynedd?

If it is Gwynedd  go to www.gwynedd.gov.uk   And you may find  a search for  houses area of the web site.

Alternatively.  Go to  royal mail   web site   Post code finder  and  type in the house name.

Taken from an obituary in Drych 1896 " his mother was related to Dolwen, Corris family. Failed to identify the property in 1891 census

The reference is 'Dolwen a Cwmcelli, Corris.'

Cwmcelli is to the north of Corris and can be seen on this map, roughly in the centre:-

No mention of Dolwen.

Many thanks fellow root chatters but please stay on topic DOLWEN. Cwmcelli is now a ruin. This family were not living at Cwmcelli at time of obituary

Re the obit in "Drych" I read it as "His mother belongs to families in Dolwen and Cwmcelli, Corris"
("teuluoedd" not "teulu")

Whereas is states that Cwmcelli was in Corris, does that mean that Dolwen was there also?
The notice also mentions Aberangell and there is a Dolwen roughly 3.5 miles from each.
