Hi
John and Mary are in Ffestiniog 1881 Census, aged 26 and 25, with son Ellis H, aged 36!, quarryman, and daughter Ellen Jane, age 3. John born Machynlleth, Mont., Mary, Mallwyd, Merioneth, children born Ffestiniog. There are 5 others living with them, 3 of them Boarders, born Mallwyd.
Aberangell is very close to Mallwyd, and probably in that Parish. It's not clear in the obituary whether both places are in Corris, or only Cwmcelli.

Hi
According to report on death of John Thomas in December 1905, HIS family were from DOLWEN. Traced his family, first in Tanrallt, then Dolwen (Dol-wen), ABERHOSAN; grid ref. SN792986.
More to follow.

It would be easier to work out where the house is or was from the census return.  Were the same family likely to have been living there in 1891 or 1901?

There were a great many chapels in the area so being close to the chapel doesn't narrow it down much.
