Nutty Wild(e)
« on: Friday 31 July 15 13:46 BST (UK) »
The above lady had a baseborn daughter Anne in 1802 in Happisburgh, Norfolk

As its not your normal name I wonder if anyone has come across it before.

She was christened as Nutty Wild in 1777 in Happisburgh (daughter of Francis and Mary) so it doesn't look like its a nickname.

Thanks
Ruth

Certainly not your normal name.  Do you think it was supposed to be Netty like for Henrietta.

It's unusual but not unique. FindMyPast lists 69 baptisms for the name Nutty, 56 burials and 51 marriages.

A few of them have the alternative name Ursula recorded in the register. If you google Nutty Ursula there are quite a few references to Ursulas whose nickname was Nutty.
