Where best to do research
« on: Friday 31 July 15 16:04 BST (UK) »
I am coming to Dublin next week to do some more research on my Grandad and his family but since I was last over the place I went to, Abbey House ?!?!?, appears to be closed. Where is the best place to go now, I want to maximize my time so don't want to be searching for a place when I get there
many thanks, Westy

Werburgh Street is where you now go to get certs.

Just so you know, the only give you 5 certs on the day.

Any others you order will be posted to you.

Also, just so you know you can order certs through our GRO in Roscommon.

There is the National Library to research at, but a lot of the time you need to give them notice of what you want to research.

There is also archives at Bishop Street.

Any Registry Office in Ireland can issue Certs for anywhere in Ireland now.....
Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.
