Help in finding a death

Hello List,

Im hoping someone may have access to records..Im looking for a "death" for a Susan/Susanna Kilgallon [ nee McCran ] she married Michael Kilgallon 1848 Co Sligo ..in 1860 Michael then married Margaret McCran her sister. Michael was with the 12th Regiment Suffolk Army, would Susan had been with him on travels and if she died...would her death still be reg in Ireland?

Unfortunately civil registration of deaths in Ireland didn't start until 1864. Usually only the Church of Ireland kept burial records.

Were there any children born 1848-1860 to narrow down when Susanna could have died? Where was Michael Kilgallon stationed during that period?

Hello Aghadowey,

He was in Mauritius back to Eng 1847..so he must had then been in Sligo Ireland to be married 1848..came to Australia 1854..back to Eng 1859 when he was discharged..I have looked for a death for her in Aust but found nothing.
No children born to them as far as I know.
