John Joseph Duitt/Duitte/Duete

A seemingly rare name i came across yesterday which has a bit of a story attached and does not seem to be documented and may be of interest to someone.
John Joseph Duitt was born in 1878 in Limerick to Peter and Catherine O'Connor  https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FGVY-QVF
he had a sister Mary Jane born 1875

Some time before 1901 John Joseph Duitte had joined the Army and was stationed in Pretoria,Africa and was involved in a mutiny in 1903
the only record i could find

I have no idea what happened to him after this date

just noticed his mother say's 4 children alive in 1911

This looks like him in 1911 number 260 J D age 30 ex soldier in Spitland Asylum transferred from Dundrum 5yr 5months,Dementia and Shock.
