My apologies - but have you got Peter Webb's birth certificate or baptism, or his father Peter's marriage?  It's all getting a bit vague  :o  Or perhaps it's just me  8)

Perhaps the free access to Ancestry this weekend may allow you to do some of this hunting for yourself  :) ;)

Have you got her marriage certificates for her Father's name?

If you know so little about her, how is she related to you?

If you haven't purchased any certificates they can be ordered from GRO - here's the link https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/default.asp
each certificate costs £9.25

That's good to know BumbleB - received a PM from chr1st1an (20/8) saying they didn't have access to Ancestry   ;)

For info.

Access to the records will be free from 28 August until 11:59 p.m. GMT on 31 August 2015.

You will need to register for free with Ancestry.co.uk with your name and email address.

You will then be sent a username and password to access the records.
After the free access period ends you will need a paid membership to view records in the collection.

The only one left is Joseph (or Joseph William) Webb, born 1873 Featherstone...
In 1911 he is a Boarder at 92 Featherstone Square, Single, 37, Coal Miner Hewer...

Can anyone please help me find his marriage (is there was one)?

Have you considered the 1917 Pontefract entry on FreeBMD?

Thank you Ladyhawk!  :D
About Ancestry, let's say I register this weekend... what can I look for in that site?
In example, regarding Peter Webb's birth or baptism, or his parents marriage?

What's on Ancenstry which isn't on the indexes?

If someone can enlighten me on this subject I would be very grateful.

You can search Ancestry, even without a subscription, you just won't be able to view the images or transcriptions.  So just go onto the site and look at it, make a list of possibilities, and then use the free weekend to look at the results.

Have you considered the 1917 Pontefract entry on FreeBMD?

The father's name of this Joseph Webb is John Thomas Webb so this marriage JUN 1917 Pontefract is not the one we are looking for.

Maybe if we could find where did Joseph Webb (son of Peter) die, we could look in the same area for possible marriages...

I didn't find any satisfactory marriage or death entry for Joseph Webb in the indexes.
Ancestry has only a reference to Joseph Webb in the 1881 census.
I could also wait until the 1921 Census is available!...  ;D

In the meantime, this research on Emily Eaton's life I feel is completed.
Out of her 11 sons and daughters, 9 got married and had children amounting to 57 grandchildren!
"Not much", some will say, but a huge amount on my standards  ;)
But if anyone thinks I'm going to list all the 57 names, they must be "crazy"!
Just a curiosity: out of those 57 grandchildren, 5 were named Emily.

Finally, I want to thank everyone who has helped and collaborated on this research,
and I hope it's been for you as enjoyable as it has been for me!  :D

A million thanks!!!
