With the usual caveat about accuracy, various bits and pieces are readily available on the internet about the family (eg. son James Wallace Quinton), including this one citing the father as William Quinton, a wine merchant in the town of Ennikillen:

Edited to add: The Belfast Morning News of 21 October 1863 announces the marriage in the Parish Church, Enniskillen, of Annie, eldest daughter of William Quinton of Enniskillen, to William Bradford.  The civil marriage record confirms her father as William Quinton, wine merchant.

Note the following will which has been digitised and placed online on the PRONI website:

Probate of the Will of John Quinton late of Church-street Enniskillen County Fermanagh Merchant who died 8 November 1900 granted at Armagh to Richard Frith Quinton and Sinclair Gunning Esquires.

http://apps.proni.gov.uk/DCAL_PRONI_WillsCalendar_IE/WillsSearch.aspx

In the will is mention of several of the Quinton children (including Thomas in Australia). GRONI online has the civil death record for John Quinton, the reported age at death was 75.

From the Belfast and Province of Ulster Directory 1858-1859 for the town of Enniskillen:

Quinton, John, &c., Church street
Quinton, Wm, wine and spirit merchant, Darling street

They appear in various other years as well.

Thank you to the kind researcher who has helped this search

We would be happy to know about William Quintons' parents

We have since discovered that it was William who married Ann Thompson.
