So I finally got the birth record of one of William and Harriet Lewis's children. It does show the mothers maiden name was ADAMS and not Daniel as I had thought. I'm going to read through everything again

On the 11 October 1855 at St Mary's Church  Abergavenny Monmouthshire, William Lewis (Full age)married Harriet Adams (Full age), William's father was also William Lewis, Unfortunately as often happened, they have also put William Lewis as the father of the Bride?
Best wishes Rowley

1851 Wales census has a Harriet Adams born 1826 in Llanishen (Abergavenny) working as a servant for a William Powell, Vicar of Abergavenny:

William Powell   81
Oliva Mary Powell   73
Jane Powell   46
William B Powell   14
Walter John Powell   10
Mary Perrin Cox   44
Rachel James   24
Hariett Adams   25

 HO107/ 2446/ 267 p 12

If you look through the Familysearch GS film Number records you will see a further 3 female Adams children baptised in Llanisien.  Possible sisters to Harriet perhaps their marriages or census information may show parents?

Thank you. I have used the website family search to look people up before, how do I look through the GS number records?

THe GS number is to the right of the page, just click on the number.

Osprey, sorry I missed your earlier reference to the 1851 census.

However on the 1841 census where you quote the Trelleck Adams, there is another possible Adams family on the same census sheet.

Household Members:
Name   Age
James Adams   35
Rachel Adams   55
Thomas Adams   16
Ann Ellis   7
William Collis   15

all born in county

Denham [Hertford & London], Carter [Somerset], Francis, Badger [Pembroke, Glamorgan]
