Problem finding in 1841 census
« on: Tuesday 11 August 15 14:21 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find Edward Saxton's details in the 1841 census.
He was born in 1815 Aston upon Trent Derbys, and married Ann Taylor in 1837.

I can't find him on Ancestry for 1841 but he shows on Familysearch at Wilne and Shardlow aged 25, but the link from there is to findmypast, which I don't have a subscription to.

Can anyone help me with finding this on Ancestry please ?

I can't see it on Ancestry either.

It's HO 107/188/7 folio 4 page 2

I can see an Edward Statham at Wilne and Shardlow but that entry looks like Statham not an ancestry error....will keep looking. You could look through that part of the census - it's HO 107  piece 190 book 14, enumeration district 7 folio  23 p 17.

If its any help on FindMyPast he isin Wilne with Elizabeth Clayton as head  She is born 1786 not in county Cottager.
He is there with Ann, Elizabeth 1838 and Hannah 1840.
You might find hime if you look for Elizabeth Clayton.  Good luck.

HO 107/188/7 folio 4 page 2 on FindMyPast are poor images.

The first in that section to appear on Ancestry is HO 107/188/7 folio 4 page 5 which includes John Wall age 65.
The previous two images are missing. It could be that they didn't think the quality was good enough to publish or couldn't read them well enough to index.
