James Davidson ,gardener kenlygreen abt 1830

I am looking for any information that anybody has on James Phillip Davidson . he was born abt 1802 in boarhills Fife.his mother was Penelope Gardner. He was married to Catherine bell Forsyth .their son Thomas bell Davidson born abt 1832 in St Andrews, is my great grandfather x2. Thomas was married to Mary Ann bogie and lived in port Glasgow Inverclyde.

Not sure if you have this but Scotlandspeople Wills section has James Davidson , gardener , Kenly Green House , St Andrews , died 20th March 1880.

Thank you for getting back to me ,yes I have this information ,its more about his brothers,sisters and parents I'm looking for as I have came up against a brick wall. Also looking for grave of James Davidson ,Penelope Gardner,and Catherine Forsyth if anyone can help 😊

"James Philp [note spelling] Son of Thomas Davidson in Boarhills and Penelope Gardner his Wife was born 20th and baptised 25th April 1802 by Dr. Adamson - James & John Davidsons Witnesses."

When I was little we used to have Sunday School picnics at Kenly Green. I dropped my toy soldier in a fresh cow pat once and insisted on it being fished out again.

Hi,

Have you found Thomas & Penelope on any census  ???

In order to get his parents names you would probably need his death cert. which may have to be from 1855 (statutory registration) although some parishes recorded deaths pre 1855 but unlikely to include both parents names.

Is it James' siblings or his father Thomas' siblings you are looking for  ???

Could you possibly give us a clue as to where & when these people died please in order to assist where they might be buried  ;)

FreeCEN has a Pen Gardiner age 80 Village of Boarhills Fife in 1841 , with Helen Davidson age 40.

Would that match this reference ?
