Gretna Green Marriage

Please can anyone who's got an account with Scotlands people look up a Marriage search between 1913 and 1919 for a Richard METCALFE marrying a woman called Annie? I've searched the England and Wales Marriage index and I can't find a Marriage there, but I think with him being a Carter "taxi driver" they might have got Married up there?

Why do you think it may be Gretna? It'd be quite a long way away from home if they were living in Burnley, Lancs, I'd think.
It may be that they got married in a Non-conformist Chapel, apparently not all of those records (I think they record them as "registrar attending?) are on the main sites yet.
Did either of the couple have additional names - if Richard was illegitimate, he may have been going under the surname of mother's current partner when marrying? I found one like that, researching for someone else.
Or perhaps they may not have actually married, because of other complications, or disinclination.
