JOHN GREEN bapt 22 March 1836,buried 29 Jan 1890,both events West Hanningfield.

I know there probably isn't a more challenging name!!
He is in the 1841 and 1851 censuses for West Hanningfield,in 1851 being an apprentice wheelwright.Cannot find any further records of any sort for him.
Help please.

You say  he was buried in 1890 so a copy of his death cert may show a wife or other relatives name.  It will show his occupation and as you say you cannot find him between 1861-1881 he may possibly have been a seaman

West Hanningfield was part of the Chelmsford Registration district but his age does not correspond to an 1836 birthyear

Yes,age 43 shown on burial register!!
Sorry have made a silly mistake here,obviously a different John Green's burial.
As I cannot find him in any further census records,I do wonder now if he may have emigrated to New Zealand.His younger brother Patrick  did go there to live.
