Henry Lockhart, born Ca. 1830 in Lurgan, Co. Armagh

I have been looking for birth and marriage details for my GG Grandfather Henry Lockhart  for quite some time and have not come up with very much. I do know that he was born in Lurgan, Co. Armagh Ca. 1830 and his parents were James and Esther. He must have moved to Dublin before 1863 and married Ellen Walsh in Dublin in 1878. They they had at least 12 children between 1863 and 1880.

If anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated

I do see an 1878 marriage here- a Catholic ceremony. Do you have the civil record?

Hi, I found a birth cert for Henry Lockhart with matching details except not in Armagh.

father: James Lockart
mother: Esther Morrow
*whereas Esther is a very uncommon forename at this time, I would say this is the correct cert.
** Henry appears to be the only child of this union

I looked for a birth for James & Esther but could find neither. Looking at the Tithe Applotment books for this time period and I find 1 Lockhart in co Down, Daniel Lockhart in Drumgooland. As for Morrows, I found 5, William, James, Arthur, John & Edward all in parish of Drumgooland. Maybe one of these is father of Esther & Daniel is James' father. It may be an idea to contact churches in the parish to see if Jaes & Esther's births are there. Hope this helps, Kim
