Yes, we will need a bit more information in order to help you.

The 1901 and 1911 census are both online (free)- have you found him there?
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/

Civil registration index is online (also free)- covers births from 1864-1921 for Northern Ireland counties:
https://familysearch.org/search/collection/1408347

Lots of other resources we can check or suggest once you let us know a bit more.

Hello,I don't know anything much about James .He married Sarah Isabella Burke in Newcastle up[on tyne and had two children with her.My Dad also named James born 1903 in Newcastle and Dorothy born 1907 in Newcastle. He disappeared after he was found to be having a fling with some woman and Sarah's brother Thomas beat him up.Cheers Ann

You'll need to work back step by step to avoid tracing the wrong James McFall- it may seem an unusual surname to you but McFall, McFaul, etc. is very common in Northern Ireland, especially North Antrim.

Does his marriage certificate list his father's name and occupation? Do you know what religion the family were in Ireland?

All I know about him is what I have already posted. It's so frustrating as I don't have anything much to go on.We can't find a marriage certificate so we assume that they were married.Cheers Ann

I can't see a marriage for James & Sarah in England so perhaps they didn't actually marry. The birth certificates for their children might indicate if they were illegitimate but won't help finding James' family in Ireland.

Hi, are you sure about his birth date being 1888 as found the birth of his son James in Newcastle in Dec quarter 1903 which would make James Sr aged 15 at time of son's birth? Its not unheard of but not likely, Kim
