Hi all,
I have for some years now been piecing together the EADES branch of my NZ family tree. RootsChat was key in me tracing a very complicated family connection, that of my great aunt. Suffice to say I am now in contact with her daughter and have learned so much more about the family.
My problem now is just as frustrating: I know who my 4x great grandparents were (they being the first of the Eades' to immigrate here to New Zealand) William Eades Born: January 18, 1820 Wednesbury, Staffordshire, England and his wife Sarah Rigby (Eades) Born: January 8, 1823. I have their death certificates which state that they both died in Wellington hospital (William on October 7, 1895 and Sarah on July 27 1885), but there is no indication of exactly where they are buried.
Interestingly there is another William (Henry) Eades, an undertaker whom also died in 1895, in Wellington and he was also married to a Sarah, but this is no relation.
All cemetery records for the area have been searched to no avail. I also have the two attrached images that are attributed to William and Sarah, but there is no provenance for these. I would love it if anyone out there can help fill in these last few gaps in my search.
Regards,
Hari.
