CLARKE, Frank Charles
« on: Saturday 15 August 15 23:51 BST (UK) »
My paternal grandfather went by the name "Charlie".
He was born 4 Apr 1892 and died 25 May 1967.

I have an address he lived at in the 1940's (44 Victoria Park).

I have a second address of 205 Aylsham Road Norfolk but a piece of the address is missing.
Could it be Norwich?

What I cannot find is his employment or both of their death certificates.

Also searching for information about my paternal grandmother, PARKER, May Elizabeth.
b 22 Nov 1897 Bassingstoke
d 01 July 1950

They married in 1919.

I'm confident my grandmother died in Cambridge 01 July 1950.

My grandfather, I'm uncertain as I've heard stories he took up with another woman after his 1st wife passed.

I have hand written genealogy sheets done by a family member and these were records transferred from the family bible.

205 Aylsham Road, Norwich, Norfolk (I think you are correct about that)

http://www.heritage.norfolk.gov.uk/record-details?MNF404-Post-medieval-pottery-finds-205-Aylsham-Road&Index=391&RecordCount=56734&SessionID=dbbe3ed9-1af1-4d8c-80ef-60a633e713b6

Was he a soldier in WW1?
Charles Frank Clarke, Norfolk Regiment, Service Number 7977,    Corporal Acting Company Serjeant Major.

Armistice was 1918, so perhaps this was him before he married.

Interesting about the pottery finds as my great grandfather (CLARKE, John Hawkins) dealt in earthenware and was a shopkeeper.

And yes, I believe he was but again records & stories are hard to come by.

How can I find out more information about his service records?
