1749 Marriage entry interpretation - COMPLETED
« on: Sunday 16 August 15 08:51 BST (UK) »
I can't work out what the letters mean, before the numbers.

They are from the Marriage Registers of Saint Peter's Church, Leeds, Yorkshire.

The line that I highlighted is part of an entry which reads ;
1749 . . . . February . . . . Jose. BINCKS & Jane BUTTREY Parish T. 18

Can anyone help me interpret the "T"

Grantley

can't answer but others entries have F or C

Earlier registers have TR or JF, could it be the priests initials?

I would go with the priests initials, mind you finding the name of priest in earlier events could prove hard.(Having spent the last 1/2hr looking at my copy of the Leeds BMD records, eyes going square)

Thank you dawnsh & Brian,

That has made me feel better. I am happy to now ignore it for my tree.
