Ryan/Hickey
« on: Saturday 22 August 15 14:30 BST (UK) »
looking for info on a Nora/Honora Hickey who married a Michael Ryan.
They farmed: Michael Ryan was shown leasing 2 roods 31 perches of land at Cappagh North, which is a small townland being the smallest rural division of a Parish of approx 190 acres situated in the Civil Parish of Kilfinaghta, north Cappagh was sited just over a mile south west of the Vllage of Sixmilebridge.
There were 5 children born to this marriage the first in abt 1830.
Any help would be great.... Trying to find out what happened to the family who stayed in Ireland.

Thanks

You haven't said what year Michael Ryan was leasing that land but the Valuation Revision Books allow you to follow a property from the printed version of Griffith's until c1930.

If you are trying to trace the family forward from some point (it's not clear when your last sighting of them are) maybe you'll find something in the Parish Registers-

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

2 roods would be about half an acre, so he may have had employment somewhere aswell.
