Hi all

Just wondering if anyone has a Ruby Bowser born 1918 Aylesbury in there tree? She is my grandfathers mother i believe she was married 3 times firstly to my great grandfather William Rogers. Any informations would be much appreciated

Hi Ruby was in fact a Ruby C M Bowser ( shown as Ruby O M Bowser on Freebmd) June qtr 1918 Aylesbury 3a 1425 mmn Bowser

Ruby Catherine M Gillett born 23rd February 1918 died May 1984 Aylesbury v19 page 923 aged 66

It would seem i need her birth cert because apart from her birth marriages and death and her also giving birth to my grandfather who where pretty sure was her only child there's nothing else i can find about her! My grandfather was brought up pretty much by his fathers mother and knows nothing much about his mother. I have noticed that from on-line about her birth it says mothers maiden name bowser so I'm thinking maybe the father won't be down on the birth cert.

I agree that it is unlikely a Father will be named on the Birth Cert of Ruby.

But the Cert is a necessity if you want to follow her Family Line back.

There are 2 other possible male Siblings for Ruby 1924/1927 on FreeBMD

I think their Mother may be Florence Hellen or Florence Helen Bowser (birth reg June 1898, and death reg July 1989, Aylesbury Vale, Bucks on Familysearch.Org)

1901 she is with the Tomlin Family in Whitchurch age 3 and is still there 1911
1911 there is a Rosina Chapman in the Household also age 5
1901 also with the Tomlins is James Chapman age 19

A ELLEN Bowser Married James Thomas Chapman 1903 (FreeBMD)

So looks like Ellen may have had Florence and then married later.

Thanks for that information it would seem I'd be best just to buy her cert i have asked my granddad for info but he wasn't brought up by her, and it would seem he knows nothing about that side of his family apart from the husbands she had. He did go and visit her with my nan once but Ruby made them go the back way into the house!! My aunt said she was apparently from a well to do family but until i bite the bullet and buy her birth cert i won't no or be able to find anything so its a must have!

Well we we're correct no father on birth cert!

Her mother is Florence Helen Bowser down as a post girl!
