Amelia and Joseph Glasson (Towednach? )
« on: Monday 24 August 15 03:56 BST (UK) »
Amelia Curnow married Joseph Glasson in Towednack in 1878. They had at least two children John Glasson  and Wilmot Glasson. Wilmot married a Schrivener.
I am trying to trace any descendants still in Cornwall.
I am grateful for any help and thank you.

Marriages March quarter 1878   CURNOW, Amelia Jane [Emelia Jane] and Glasson, Joseph registered    Penzance [5c353].

Joseph Glasson aged 24 born about 1854 married 12 Feb 1878 at   Uny-Lelant Cornwall England
[His father being John Glasson] to his bride Amelia Jane Curnow

He was still at home in the 1871 census and had a lot of siblings......

John Glasson   52
Martha Glasson   46
Harriet Glasson   25
John Glasson   20
James Glasson   19
Joseph Glasson   17 [who married Amelia]
William Glasson   15
Jakah Glasson   12
Josiah Glasson   11
Wilmut Glasson   6

I would be inclined to use freebmduk and bring up all the Glasson entries for Cornwall and save all to a file, and then
group off each person from birth to death eliminating all the certificate references up to the current day or as in the case of the site mentioned about 1972.....    then see who is still alive and target them on 192........

I wasnt sure if the tree on ancestry was yours, but it suggests Joseph died in Australia so I wouldn't C & P any of that just in case its merely duplicating what you already have....

It seemed to me , however, when I used 192 that there are possibly a few folk left of the original family ..... good luck....
