Very interesting - BSM Pick was in the 22nd Brigade RA from August 1864 until his discharge in June 1872. So we now know how they met.

Oh dear, FindMyPast has a WO121 entry for a Gunner in the RA being discharged with ignominy, character very bad, in 1881. I cannot imagine such a character getting a job in the AOD after discharge.

As a common name you need to look at the muster book for 22nd Brigade RA for when he married and follow his service forwards until he is discharged. But as I said before, you will have to visit the National Archives.

Found another daughter for Thomas Pick in Greenwich. Picked up on your info Rosie. She is  Martha Jane b Apr 1854 and baptised. He is a Gunner and Driver with the Royal Artillery . Mothers name is Rachel--no idea when or where they married. Unfortunately Martha dies at 3 months.

One of the childrens birth certificates would confirm mothers maiden name but I suspect that this may be the marriage of Thomas & Rachel in Scotland  :)

Its a long time since i was on this tread so not sure if this is the best place to continue this .Have not been able to establish what happened to the family of Thomas Pick, solider .
Rachael Murray married Thomas Pick  in 1841 mentioned in posts above .
Born  1829 Scotland she was in Greenwich London with 2 children . Husband most likely goes to India 1858 as a Cpl no 1041 royal artillery as a Gunner  . Wonder if his wife Rachael dies there or comes back to England. From what you told me one daughter married and came back and have traced all that line but what of the rest of the family. ??
Many Thanks
