ANNE POSSIBLY JOSEPHINE KELLEHER, DUBLIN
« on: Monday 24 August 15 21:38 BST (UK) »
We are trying to trace Anne  or (Josephine) Kelleher of Dublin. All the information we have is that she gave birth to a daughter in July of 1933 at the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin. We have been trying to trace any information on her. On the child's birth cert the mother is Josephine and she named her daughter Anne, but we have a feeling the mothers birth name was Anne Josephine and later chose to use Josephine as her first name. We have found a baptism for Anne in 1905 in Rathmines and in the census for 1911 Annes family living on Harcourt Street, Anne is listed as Annie J Kelleher age 6 years on the census. From here we have hit a dead end we are trying to see if Annie J is Anne Josephine and any information on her at all after 1911.  We are still not 100% if this is the person we are looking for but it is the closest we have come to finding her. Any information will be welcome, thank you for reading.

You should get the birth certificate for the baptism you have found for Anne J to find her parents full names to maybe trace them and any siblings you have identified from the 1911 census and later (if any).

Going sideways with your research might find your answer which is likely to be a marriage and then possibly any more children. You are then into present day records which can only be researched off line from the forum.

Hi Margaret,
Thank you for your reply. I know the parents names are Edward Gallagher Kelleher and Maria Larkin, as for the siblings hit a brick wall on these too. But will try to find a birth cert for Anne Josephine.

I had assumed not as the mother's surname has been used.

I know you are not sure these are your people yet but there is a marriage for Maria Larkin and Edward Kelleher in Clonmel, Tipperary in the 4th quarter of 1902. Volume 4, page 232. In case you want to order a cert in the future.
