Stacey - 1851 Census/Minehead

Hi folks,

I'm trying to find William Stacey and his wife Sarah (nee we think, Baker) on the 1851 census without luck, in 1841 they were living in Church Street, Minehead

their children also unaccounted for in 1851 (there were others in 1841 but they were married and/or accounted for) were:

Sarah - christened 1830
Elizabeth - christened 1834
Charlotte - christened 1836
Mary - christened 1836
John - christened 1842
(all christenings in Minehead)

I'm hoping the 1851 census maybe more clear as to where the mother Sarah was born so i can pinpoint who she was before marriage

any help would be most appreciated

thanks Suz, i already had that record, they were some of the ones already accounted for that leaked over from the 1841 census. Interestingly enough the daughter Sarah was still living in the same street in 1861/1871 - not the most well travelled relatives i ever had

Elizabeth i am particularly interested in given that she in 1856 married John Adams (a mariner) in Bristol, Gloucestershire and immigrated out to Dunedin, New Zealand - she's my ggg-grandmother.

the thought had crossed my mind that perhaps the parents had died, but i couldn't find any deaths that match, only a William in 1861 and Sarah in 1860

Also noticed 1841 has a Charlotte Baker  and (possibly) her fther living with the Stacey family (same dwelling but living separately)

Suz, you're a legend thank you so much - i think the fact that Elizabeth has been farmed off at such a young age to become someone's servant pretty much tells us in all probability that the parents were most likely dead by 1851. So i will definitely investigate those leads you have kindly provided.

I did see that someone on ancestry does have sisters Sarah and Charlotte (although still no birth/baptism dates for Sarah). It seems Charlotte is the key to me proceeding further on the maternal line, quite fitting really when you consider i have a 1 year old named Charlotte

this appears to be Elizabeth's father William dying in 1847 - i found a date/age on genuki and its a match at least

the Sarah Ann i think is someone else, not the mother
