Barratt family
« on: Tuesday 25 August 15 17:24 BST (UK) »
Having serious trouble with this family.
Have them in the uk census for 1861 and 1871 where the parents,William Barratt (c1818) and Mary (c 1821), say they were born in Ireland, but no details.
They then had 7 children all in Brentford End Middlesex,
Michael 1843
David 1847 and Edward 1847
Hannah 1853
William 1857
Ellen   1859
Mary A  1862
Any help with William`s birth or a marriage or childrens births would be great.
Highly likely they may all be Catholic I suppose.
Many thanks.

Birth certificates for the children will list mother's maiden name and Irish Catholic Parish registers are now online (free) but you really do need a parish (not just 'Ireland' or the county) to see if the church records go back far enough.

Once you have Mary's maiden name you could check for a marriage in England if you haven't done so already.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I was wondering if Johanna Harrigan and Joanna Condon were the same person.

Not sure  :-\

There is a 12 yr old Mary C born Isleworth with a mother Mary Condon b Limerick in 1861 living in
Richmond, Surrey.

1861 772 /73 / 7
Brentford End

David Condan 66 yrs
Joana Condan 60 yrs
Catharine Flanagan lodger    30 yrs
Joana Ryde 35 yrs
All born Ireland

These may be related ( parents) but you would need the marriage certificate to be certain.
