Edward Gregory Jones.
« on: Thursday 27 August 15 03:55 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone. Many thanks for all your help in the past. I have asked for help once before about my G-Uncle. Altho I did take on board your advice. It didn't really seem to end my mystery surrounding him. I'm also not sure about the rules with regards to how many times I can ask for help? I have been researching some 25 yrs and think I cover most of my bases, but sometimes you just can't go any further with out help. I do hope you will help me yet again?
I would really like to find the marriage certificate of my G-uncle, Edward Gregory Jones, born 23rd July 1906, in Barrow in Furness, Lancashire.
Family history stories say he had two children?? I have never been able to find any evidence of Marriage or children.
I appreciate all the help you have given me in the past and under stand if you can't help me with this request.
Again, many thanks for the past help, good wishes to all, Regards, Shirley.

Hello Shirley,
There are no rules as to how many times you can ask for help.
Rootschat members just love delving and will always do their best to answer your questions. :)
If you have made a similar request in the past it's a good idea to link it with the new one just so that anyone searching knows the ground that has already been covered.

Here is the link to your previous post about Edward Gregory. :)

Good luck with it.

Hi

One option might be to wait until the 1939 National Register is released on Findmypast hopefully later this year. If he is still in England or Wales then he should be on it.

I was just reading and checking out the last time I made a request for information about my G-Uncle Edward Gregory and I had a reply from your site, from "normamac" who told me that Edward Gregory was a "bandsman" and that this was posted on "find my past" I have not got entry to this site, and am now wondering if it will be too late to send my private email address so I can get all this information?
Normamac posted this information on Tues 24 December at 13.03

Just been looking over your previous post about Edward. Did you ever establish if Elizabeth Bowman died in 1916? If so, as he would only have been 10 yrs old, perhaps consider the possibility Edward was 'adopted' and as a result may have taken the surname of his adoptive family, although the marriage in 1927 does sound promising....fingers crossed :)
