Malone
« on: Friday 28 August 15 23:15 BST (UK) »
Hi there, I am looking for information about family I believe were from Leitrim. My grandfather was Aloysius Malone and he had a sister Melatine (not sure if that is the spelling..but pretty unique name) I think she came to England after the war to work as a nurse possibly.  I think there was possibly another brother too. If anyone knows the family I would be very grateful for information.

Welcome to Rootschat but this isn't a forum for tracing living relatives and there are strict posting guidelines to protect the privacy of living (or possibly living people).

You haven't given us any idea of dates but there is a marriage for a Melitine Malone in England that might be Aloyisius' sister.

.."came to England after the war to work"

Which War??
Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

From the possible marriage I found in England it's likely World War II.
